Health Decisions Named to 2017 Training Top 125

Prestigious Training Magazine Award Honors 2017 Global Leaders in Corporate Training and Development

Durham, North Carolina. Health Decisions, Inc., the full-service clinical research organization of choice for forward-looking biopharma, diagnostics, precision medicine and medical device companies and a global leader in women’s health clinical development, today announced being named to the annual Training Top 125 for 2017. The annual award from Training Magazine recognizes companies’ excellence in employer-sponsored training and development programs.

“Outstanding performance in the design, management, monitoring and statistical analysis of clinical trials demands outstanding training in the meticulous requirements of Good Clinical Practice, the complex regulatory environment, Standard Operating Procedure and challenges specific to each clinical trial,” said CEO Patrick Phillips, D. Phil. “Our thanks to Training Magazine for recognizing Health Decisions’ excellence in training for a third consecutive year. This award reflects an organizational commitment to excellence in training and is a credit to Jim McCann, the Health Decisions Training and Development Project Manager and all those who provide content and support for our learning management system. Jim and our IT group did an excellent job in the past year incorporating a level of training for FISMA compliance that few CROs can match.”

FISMA is the Federal Information Security Management Act, which defines a comprehensive framework to protect government information, operations and assets against natural or man-made threats. FISMA compliance is essential to perform work on federal contracts.

“The 2017 Training Top 125 winners don’t just set the bar for employee training and development, they vault over it,” said Training magazine Editor-in-Chief Lorri Freifeld. “They are champions of learning and ensure their employees have the skills to succeed in this competitive, ever-changing world. They insist on training tied to corporate strategic goals, and they have the results to show for it. We applaud these organizations for their world-class training and development efforts.”

“Our thanks to Training Magazine for honoring us a third time,” said McCann. “It is a pleasure for a training professional to serve in an organization like Health Decisions with a commitment to excellence in training at all levels.”

The Training Top 125 winners for 2017 will be honored at a black-tie awards gala January 30 during the Training 2017 Conference & Expo, January 30-February 1 in San Diego, CA.

About the Training Top 125 Ranking

Now in its 17th year, the Training Top 125 ranking is based on myriad benchmarking statistics such as total training budget; percentage of payroll; number of training hours per employee program; goals, evaluation, measurement, and workplace surveys; hours of training per employee annually; and detailed formal programs. The ranking is determined by assessing a range of qualitative and quantitative factors, including financial investment in employee development, the scope of development programs, and how closely such development efforts are linked to business goals and objectives.
